William Saliba has rejoined Arsenal training ahead of the weekend in a big boost to the club.
Arteta was speaking to the media ahead of the Premier League match with Nottingham Forest. Arsenal have suffered several injury concerns so early in the campaign but there is some good news.
Both Ben White and Christian Norgaard were spotted in an Arsenal training session on Thursday. Asked for an update on the team, the Spaniard did indeed confirm they were in contention.

On White he simply replied: "He is okay." He also added that new signing Piero Hincapie could be in with a chance, but had only trained a couple of times.
"Yeah he's ready to go," he said. "He's trained two days with us, very successful at the end against Argentina."
There was, however, no sign of William Saliba or Bukayo Saka. Yet Arteta confirmed that the Frenchman had indeed trained.
"William trained today, so we have a decision to make," he said. Saliba, therefore, could be in the squad at the weekend.
However, for Saka, he said: "Bukayo is out. Still out and he is trying to get back as quick as possible."
There was also an update on Kai Havertz. The German underwent a procedure which came as a surprise to most at the time.
"He's looking really good," Arteta said. "He's walking freely, and he's starting to load that knee. It will take weeks to months, but knowing Kai, I cannot give you a timeline."
Arteta also confirmed that Gabriel Jesus is on track to return to training between December and January.
Arsenal take on Forest at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday at 12:30pm UK Time. Coverage on football.london starts four hours before kick-off.
