Whether the family gets treatment for one member or for all the members, the total expenditure cannot exceed Rs 5 lakh. As soon as this limit is over, the patient has to bear the remaining expenses himself. That is, you can avail the benefit of free treatment as many times in a year, provided it does not cross the limit of Rs 5 lakh.
What will happen if the limit is crossed?
If you have crossed the limit of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh on the Ayushman card. Then you will have to wait for the limit of Ayushman card to be renewed.
