Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Thursday asserted that if the election is free and fair, people of Bihar will uproot the NDA government, and replace it by a dispensation that would work for the poor, women and the youth.
Launched a scathing attack at NDA's religion-based policie, she alleged that BJP leaders urge people to vote for NDA in name of religion, not for development. During his Motihari rally in Bihar, she said that if the election is free and fair, people of Bihar will uproot NDA government in Bihar.
“BJP leaders urge people to vote for the NDA in the name of religion, and not for development. If this election is free and fair, the people of Bihar will uproot this government and vote for one that will work for the poor, women and the youth,” she said.
Slamming the NDA government for “poor infrastructure” in the state, Priyanka Gandhi also claimed that 27 bridges collapsed in Bihar in the last three years. "NDA govt has no respect for people of Bihar who contributed immensely for the development of the nation," she alleged.
As the Bihar battle brews, renowned politicians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, RJD supremo Tejashwi Yadav and others are regularly conducting rallies across Bihar districts.In his recent rally, Lalu Prasad called for a change in the Bihar government, with an euphemism that 'roti' (flatbread) should be continuously flipped on the 'tawa', otherwise it would burn.
The Bihar leader, who cast his vote during Phase 1 of Bihar elections with his wife Rabri Devi, son and INDIA bloc CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav, posted a photograph on X with a message calling for change in Bihar government.
"Roti should be flipped on the 'tawa' otherwise it would burn. 20 years is too long! Now, a Tejashwi government is necessary for making a new Bihar," he added.
