Chennai | JK Fenner (India) Ltd., part of leading industrial conglomerate, JK Organisation, celebrated its 70th anniversary today, marking seven decades of innovation, resilience, and growth. The milestone event was graced by Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, as the Chief Guest, along with Shri Vikrampati Singhania, Managing Director, JK Fenner, in the presence of customers, industry leaders and distinguished guests.
Headquartered in Chennai, JK Fenner operates nine modern manufacturing plants, five of them in Tamil Nadu. With significant investments in the State and renewable energy assets of 9.75 MW, the company has been a key contributor to Tamil Nadu’s industrial ecosystem. Its three advanced RCD centres and a team of over 120 specialists, support leading global OEMs, with recognitions from marquee clients such as JohnDeere, Timken, AutoZone, and Dana, Indian OEM’s besides state and other institutional awards.
Speaking on the occasion, Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, said, “I congratulate JK Fenner India for its glorious journey over these seven decades. With contributions from companies like JK Fenner (India) Limited, Tamil Nadu has built a strong industrial base. Today, our state’s growth rate has soared to 11.19 percent. The company has supported, more than 10 lakh people, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes. I assure you that the Tamil Nadu Government will always support local companies in expanding their global reach.”
Speaking on the milestone, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman, JK Fenner (India) Ltd, said, “This milestone is not just a number, it is a legacy, a testament to seven decades of resilience, innovation, and excellence. From one facility in Madurai, we now operate nine state-of-the-art plants, and tomorrow we will proudly roll out our 75 millionth belt from our Automotive plant in Madurai, underscoring our leadership in power transmission solutions. Tamil Nadu has always been at the forefront of India’s industrial revolution, attracting world-class investments, and we at JK Fenner are proud to have contributed to this ecosystem and thank the government for its support to the industry and manufacturing sector in particular.”

Founded in 1955, JK Organisation took over the management of Fenner in 1987. Since then, JK Fenner has grown from a single-product manufacturer of V-belts into a diversified belt system, sealing system and fluid transmission (hose) solutions provider that serves automotive, agriculture, industrial machinery, construction and mining equipment omens, railways, defence, and electric mobility requirements. Its products are integral to everyday life, whether in vehicles, factories, farms, metros, or heavy machinery.
The company has also built a strong reputation for sustainability and community development. About 70% of its energy comes from renewable sources, and 91% of water is reused at its plants. Its CSR programmes, active across six states and 18 districts in Tamil Nadu, have touched the lives of more than 10 lakh people through skill development, women’s empowerment, health care, education, water conservation, and environment initiatives.
Today, the JK Organisation employs more than 4,000 people in Tamil Nadu, with investments exceeding ₹7,000 crore, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to the State’s growth story.
