Glenn Murray reckons "all will be forgotten" if Alexander Isak U-turns on leaving Newcastle United. Swedish striker Isak took to social media on Tuesday evening to give his side of the story on the drawn-out transfer saga.
In a scathing rant, Isak claimed that the Magpies had broken promises made behind closed doors and that the best course of action now is for him to move on with another club. It comes after a summer of discontent at St James' Park, after Isak announced his intention to explore his options away from Tyneside.
The 25-year-old missed the club's pre-season tour of Asia and opted to train with his old club, Real Sociedad, before he was instructed to train alone upon his return to Darsley Park. It is claimed that Isak is now refusing to ever play for Newcastle again, as he looks to escalate action on a move ahead of deadline day.

Despite everything that has gone on over the past couple of weeks, Murray believes that Isak will be "welcomed back" by the club, his team-mates and the fans if he has a shock change of heart and decides to stay put.
Murray told Ladbrokes: "As for how his current teammates will be feeling, I think that there is an understanding within dressing rooms that footballers have to look after themselves to a certain extent.
"I don't think there'll be any real bad blood. Obviously, they will feel a little let down that this saga has continued into the start of the new Premier League season.
"But I honestly don't think there'll be too much damage if he comes back. I think he'll be welcomed with open arms, whether that's immediately or whether that's a couple of weeks down the line, he'll build those relationships.
"He'll probably come in and have to apologise, and I think it's the fans that are going to be the problem for him but once he hits the back of the net in front of the Gallowgate End, I'm sure all will be forgotten."
Despite the former Brighton and Hove Albion star's opinion, it may be a case of bridges burned on Tyneside, given how loyal and protective Newcastle fans are of their club. A bustling away support was heard directing chants of "there's only one greedy b******" at Isak during the Magpies' goalless draw with Aston Villa at the weekend, while other pundits, including Alan Shearer and Jamie Carragher, have lambasted the star for his conduct.
It comes as Liverpool look like the only possible destination for Isak at present. The Reds saw an opening offer of £110million plus add-ons rejected earlier this month, with the Magpies reportedly valuing Isak at £150m.
However, given Isak's recent statement and fan ire in the north east, the club may now provide a little wiggle room on their firm valuation should Liverpool return with a slightly enhanced offer. Isak still has three years remaining on his current deal but looks to have no future in black and white.
