The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has commenced the application process for the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025, starting from September 19, 2025. Interested candidates can apply online at bsebstet.org until September 27, 2025.
Key Updates
Candidates who successfully pass the Bihar STET 2025 will obtain a lifetime valid certificate, qualifying them for future Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) teacher recruitment examinations.
Originally, the application period was set from September 11 to 19, 2025, but was delayed due to technical difficulties. The official application portal has been updated to bsebstet.org, replacing earlier sites such as secondary.biharboardonline.com and biharboardonline.com.
Due to the revised application schedule, the exam dates are likely to change. The STET 2025 was initially planned for October 4 to 25, 2025, with results expected on November 1, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a graduate degree along with a B.Ed. in the relevant subject.
- Age Limit: For male candidates, the age range is 21 to 37 years; for female candidates, it is up to 40 years.
- The examination is aimed at recruiting secondary and higher secondary teachers at the state level in Bihar.
Exam Format
- The Bihar STET 2025 will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will earn 1 mark, with no penalties for incorrect answers.
- Paper Structure:
- Paper-I & Paper-II: 100 questions from the specific subject.
- 50 questions on teacher aptitude and pedagogy.
- Total Questions: 150
- The exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will last for 2.5 hours.
Application Fees
- Single Paper (Paper-I or Paper-II):
- General, EWS, OBC, and Extremely Backward Classes – ₹960
- SC/ST/Divyang candidates – ₹760
- Both Papers (Paper-I & Paper-II):
- General, EWS, OBC, Extremely Backward Classes – ₹1,440
- SC/ST/Divyang candidates – ₹1,140
