The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 only launched back in July of this year, which means it has not seen many discounts yet. That seems to have changed as Black Friday sales start to hit their stride - the annual sale event has become more of a whole of November kind of deal recently, and that's showing with this excellent offer.
Argos and Amazon are selling the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 for £244, a price that Amazon price comparison checker Camelcamelcamel shows is the cheapest the smartwatch has yet been sold for, a 24 percent saving on the device's usual RRP of £319.
The Watch 8 is the latest version of Samsung's popular Galaxy Watch line up, released in July of this year. Available in black or white with an updated minimalist design, the smartwatch is a go-to choice if you have a Samsung phone, but will work with any other Android phone, too.
This special price is for the 40mm version, which is the smaller model. That means it won't swarf your wrist, and it's lightweight, but not on features: this watch has full GPS workout racking for runnings, cycling, swimming and hiking, plus round-the-clock heart rate monitoring plus electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring (though the latter only works with Samsung phones).
If you think you'd like a larger watch, the Galaxy Watch 8 44mm version, with a larger screen and larger battery, is also on sale from Argos for £274, down £75 from £349.
Wear either Watch 8 to bed and it'll also monitor your sleep quality, and with the latest WearOS software, Samsung has stepped up the quality of useful data and insights you'll get via the Samsung Health app, too.

Samsung knits all your daily data together to give you helpful pointers such as bedtime routines, a personal running coach both when exercising and not, and reports on your recent activity. You also get Google Gemini AI on your wrist for basic requests and for getting more personalised pointers based on your activity.
Samsung also claims, thanks to a new sensor, that it's the world's first smartwatch that can measure your antioxidant level.
You also get third party apps, so you can link up your Strava and Spotify to record runs directly to the platform or download playlists respectively. With on board GPS and offline music, you can link Bluetooth earbuds to the watch and listen to tunes and track your run route, even without your phone in your pocket.
It's not clear how long these sale prices will last for the Galaxy Watch 8, but this is the best price we've seen on Samsung's latest wearable so far this year.
