In a major twist, Buffalo Sabres ’ Josh Norris has been recently sidelined from the team for a significant amount of time after suffering a major injury during a match against the New York Rangers . This was announced on Saturday by the head coach of the team, Lindy Ruff. As per reports, Norris suffered an upper-body injury on Thursday night's home opener against the New York Rangers. Let’s take a closer look at the injury update of Josh Norris, and how the team is dealing with it.

Forward Josh Norris sidelined for a significant amount of time with the Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo Sabres forward Josh Norris has been sidelined from the team for a significant amount of time after he suffered a serious upper-body injury. It was confirmed by the head coach of the team, Lindy Ruff, on Saturday. Speaking about Norris’ injury, Ruff said, “He is going to miss a significant amount of time. I don't want that amount for sure. But he’s still…still being evaluated.”

He further added that he has suffered serious injuries in the upper body and has nothing to do with his past injuries, referring to the season-ending mid-body injury Norris sustained last season in his third game with the Sabres. “It’s an upper body. It’s nothing related to what he’s had in the past,” Ruff added.

According to reports, the 26-year-old seemed to suffer the injury during a faceoff in Thursday’s 4-0 defeat against the New York Rangers. He was visibly in pain on the ice following the draw and left for the locker room, not returning for the remainder of the game.

It is to be noted that Norris, 26, was acquired by the Sabres, along with defenceman Jacob Bernard-Docker, from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Dylan Cozens, defenceman Dennis Gilbert, and a draft pick.

List of injuries mounting in Buffalo Sabres
The Buffalo Sabres are currently going through a challenge as their player injury woes keep piling up, with Forward Josh Norris, the latest to join the list of players on the sidelines, which already includes Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body), Zach Benson (face), Jordan Greenway (lower body), and Michael Kesslering (undisclosed). This string of injuries is making an already rocky start to the season even more challenging for the Sabres.

Despite these challenges, the Sabres are determined to regroup and deliver a stronger performance in this season, hoping to turn their fate and secure victory in the ensuing days.
